An Introduction to an Outward Mindset
04. Transforming Conflict
When we are in collusion, we think the other person or group is solely to blame. If this is true, our only solutions are to try and change them, bite our lip and put up with them, or get rid of them (or leave the situation ourselves). We feel stuck. However, we discover other possible ways out of collusion by considering our role in perpetuating the problems we complain about.
Gathering Allies
One of the easiest and most dangerous ways we find justification in treating others as objects is by gathering allies—those we recruit to our side of a collusion.
- How are collusions and gathering allies impacting you and your team?
- What do they cost?
